The problem

Kumello's sales tool promises fast answers about medical-device companies and their products: who makes what, for which indication, sold where. That knowledge existed only as tens of thousands of unstructured company websites. No analyst team can read the market at that scale, and buying static databases meant stale, shallow coverage.

What we built

An automated research pipeline that discovered, crawled, and analyzed nearly 45,000 medical-device company domains from across the web: sitemap analysis to find the product pages, content extraction, and AI analysis to turn each company's raw pages into structured profiles of the company and its devices. The output feeds governed, searchable document stores — built to be re-run, so the index stays current instead of decaying like a purchased list.

The result

The entire med-tech landscape became searchable and indexable inside Kumello's sales tool. A rep or researcher can now find companies and devices by what they actually are and do — a quick search instead of a research project. The pipeline approach is the point: the same system that built the index keeps it alive.
